We had done so many big parties recently that we decided to just make it for little kids. There ended up being a couple of older kids too, but it was so much fun.
We set up two paddling pools and the kids just splashed around.
Mom and Dad got to meet lots of my friends for the first time and the weather was perfect. It always seems to rain when we have get togethers lately.
The excitement of the party was when Adam caught a snake in the yard. Unfortunately the snake is still in a tank in Jaden's bedroom. Adam's Mom was far more tolerant that I am and so he grew up with all kinds of wildlife in the house, so he expects me to love the snake! I only feed and clean up after Leo, any other animal is his responsibility.
Luckily Adison's sandcastle cake turned out really well, thanks to artistic input from Mom.
Unfortunately Adison's little cake looked like a cross between a mausoleum and a Mayan temple!
It all tasted pretty good, which is what really matters.
Adison quite liked her cake, but Nicolas LOVED his!!
My friend Lesli had lent us a snow cone maker which was a big hit!!
After everyone left, Mom and Dad gave Jaden and Kirsten their birthday presents early and had a little present for Nicolas as it's so long for him to wait until his birthday.
Woody and Stephanie were able to stay after everyone had gone and have pizza and relax with Mom and Dad, so it was the perfect end to a perfect day.
