Stephanie's neice had been to Louisiana last weekend and came back with several big bags of crawfish, so Stephanie, Woody and her sister and husband had an impromptu crawfish boil on Monday. The weather was perfect and it was good to see Stephanie's sister and her family as they work so hard we only really see them at Christmas.

The last crawfish boil we had was at our house and was fantastic, so we were excited to eat crawfish again and get together with family.

Woody, Elliot and Nicolas inspect the bags of crawfish.

They have to be alive when you cook them so they had been on ice for the trip back from LA so they wouldn't die. They look like little lobsters and I had to just ignore the fact we were boiling them alive and then ripping their heads off to eat them!!

Once they were taken off the ice they all woke up and had to be put in the huge boilers with all the seasonings, potatoes and corn.

It takes about 20 minutes to cook them all and then they get spread on newspaper and eaten with your hands. You pull the head off, and then peel the tail and eat the tail.

I love them and so did Nicolas which suprised me.

Adison just hung out with us and then had a little sleep in her pram when it got dark. She was wearing one of my old dresses which was Mom's favorite on me. It still looks great and she wears it lots.

We got to see Ben, Erin and the kids and Sam, Ike and Lilli.

Nicolas had fun practicing his catching and throwing. He's getting really good at jumping now.

Nicolas sees Lilli as an extension of Kirsten so he loves playing with her, but he also sets out to annoy her!

They had great fun putting on a dancing show for us.

And then the kids all got candy, which made Nicolas and Bowen very happy. It was a fun night and Adam and I ate way too much!!
