Ronald Reagan Park

The park that I used to walk at most day's and the one Dad and Mom walk to when they come to stay has had huges changes recently. The river flooded badly during the heavy rain, so they are obviously trying to prevent that happening again, and also to make the river more usable for people in the park.
I just wanted to show people who have been there how different it looks. These pictures are taken from the bridge at the bottom of the park.

Nicolas was in digger heaven!! We watched for about 30 minutes and the highlight for him was the little digger getting stuck and having to be pulled out by the big digger.
We were there killing time waiting for Adam to recover from a BIG night out celebrating his new job, and before we set off on vacation. While we were there one of my friends called to let me know that huge winter storms were forcast for the weekend in NC. I called the resort and they said we needed to be there by 4pm or we may not make it. It was 11am and we had a 3 hour drive!! We raced home, woke Adam, packed the truck, got the kids from school and hit the road!!
Our vacation had begun in a rush!!
