Lights for the Yard

Nicolas and Adison had great fun this weekend playing in the sprinkler Woody and Stephanie got Adison for her Birthday.

Meanwhile Adam was sweating in the heat installing the amazing outside lights around the yard.

We are now in over drive getting ready for Shelley and Jamie's visit. I'm making breakfast casseroles, cheese balls and dips that can be frozen as we speak (in between photo uploads!) For Adam, getting ready means making sure we have good sound and lights outside for the party we're having when they arrive. He got a bargin deal on the fence lights ($20 for 12!) and we thought tiki torches would be doubley good as they'd save us tastey English people from being devoured by mosquitoes!

The horseshoe pit is now illuminated (along with all the weeds around Adam's shed which is my job for tomorrow) and so we are almost 'Shelley and Jamie ready' outside.

I love having people to stay because it makes us look at the house through fresh eyes and get all the things done that we've been putting off. Our house and yard will be perfect by the time they get here, not that they care, except my grass will never compete with Jose's across the road, but you can't have everything!
