The tradition in Adam's family has always been to put all the presents out ready assembled and not wrapped on Christmas eve. We always had our presents wrapped, so Adam and I compromise and the big presents are unwrapped and the little ones are wrapped. Luckily Mom had the good idea to assemble the presents before Christmas Eve (which is normally when Adam and I put stuff together) and put them in the shed where the kids couldn't see them. Kirsten had asked for a kitchen and when we opened the box every item had to be cut from it's plastic mould and then assembled! It took 2 hours to put together, but it looks great and she loved it.

Jaden's car track was easy to assemble and so was Kirsten's little pet shop. Dad put Nicolas' garage and tricycle together in the morning, so when Christmas eve came we were super organised and all in bed by 10:30pm.
